Dr. Jamie Greene is a licensed clinical psychologist who joined Learning Solutions in 2021. She views assessment as an opportunity to provide insight, to support personal growth, and to lead to better treatment choices and outcomes. Dr. Greene’s collaborative approach is informed by the belief that psychological assessment can serve as a source of validation as well as an important intervention. It is her hope that those who she tests feel that they are honored for who they are uniquely given to be in the world.
Dr. Greene works primarily with adolescents, young adults, and adults. She has a particular interest in working with people who have felt marginalized or misunderstood. Some of her assessment interests include: trauma, personality, learning issues, giftedness/twice exceptionality, executive functioning, differential diagnoses, anxiety, and mood (depression and bipolar disorder).
Dr. Greene spent many years in private practice and working in both public and independent schools. Her work in schools included being a teacher, class dean, and director of counseling. For the last decade, she has worked with adolescents and young adults practicing dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) to help them build lives worth living.
After growing up on St. Croix in the US Virgin Islands, Dr. Greene came to the States to attend college at Harvard-Radcliffe Colleges, where she graduated with an AB in psychology. She attended Boston University for her masters and doctorate in clinical psychology. She conducted research throughout graduate school on attachment, psychodynamic processes, personality pathology, and trauma. Dr. Greene is excited to join the Learning Solutions team in service of helping people understand the potential of assessment to support their personal growth and goals.
